Imp

Imps are a species of Demon native to Daemus with three major types, referred to as Imps, Winged Imps and Imp Lords. Imps live in most areas of Daemus; however, Imp Lords tend to avoid Lilis as they are more likely to be targeted by Lilin than the smaller types are in many cases. The smaller two Imp species are treated with mistrust by many due to their mischievous nature, while Imp Lords have been more widely disliked due to known cases of them using groups of imps to kidnap individuals. In more recent times, Imps such as Alzen have helped to improve the general view of Imps.

Overview

Imps and Winged Imps have a near identical physical appearance to each other, both being extremely short and oddly proportioned with extremely wide hips and slightly larger than average heads. Winged Imps are distinct in that they have small wings which let them fly short distances, hover at low altitude and generally improve their mobility. Imp Lords are significantly more humanoid, however they share their spectrum of skin colours with the other two Imp types, being a range of pinks, reds, blues and purples.

Imps and Winged Imps are good at learning, though they are generally not the most intelligent without help from others. They can be very curious which tends to result in them causing mayhem in large groups as they damage things or try to drag them away to keep or inspect. They are sometimes under the command of an Imp Lord who helps to direct them in order to achieve their goals. Imp Lords are more intelligent than Imps, but they tend to be slower at learning and as such can be overtaken by some rarer examples of intelligent Imps.

Biology

Imp

Small Demons that have an average height of about 0.54m. They have naturally cute bodies with extremely wide hips and a curvy form that would look absurd if they weren't already disproportionately short. This type of Imp tends to have longer and sharper horns than others of their kind, they use these to penetrate objects and to skewer other creatures when in danger. They show sexual dimorphism in many ways similar to other mammals, though they also differ in other small ways. Female Imps have naturally sharper claws and longer horns than the males.

Imps have similar reproductive organs to many humanoid species. Male Imps have penises that are similar to more standard humanoid species, but with a significantly more pointed tip with spines which expand during climax, the penis is slightly curved to help hook itself in to increase the chance of impregnating a partner. Penis length for Imps can range from proportionally small all the way up to sizes that would be considered large for many Mekkanian races. Female Imps have vaginas that look relatively similar to those of many other humanoids; however, the inside features a small ridge to assist in reproduction.

Winged Imp

This type of Imp is nearly identical to their wingless counterparts in height and build. Winged Imps have slightly shorter more rounded off horns than their wingless counterparts; however, they have wings which give them the ability to fly or hover at low altitudes. They utilise the wings to reach more of the things around them in order to satiate their curiosity. Winged Imps show sexual dimorphism in ways similar to many mammals; however, female Winged Imps also have slightly larger wings and sharper teeth than the males of the species.

Winged Imps have similar reproductive organs to many humanoid species. Male Imps have penises that are similar to more standard humanoid species, but with a significantly more pointed tip and a ribbed appearance. Penis length for Winged Imps can range from proportionally small all the way up to sizes that would be considered large for many Mekkanian races. Female Winged Imps have vaginas that look relatively similar to those of many other humanoids; however, the inside features a small ridge to assist in reproduction.

Imp Lord

Humanoid Demons that stand at an average of 1.4m for males and 1.6m for females, they have more typical proportions than the other two types which has resulted in speculation that they are not actually related. Imp Lords tend to have varying horns, with males tending towards curved horns while females often have taller and sharper ones. They also show similar types of sexual dimorphism to many other humanoid species, including differences in reproductive organs, or breasts on female Imp Lords.

Imp Lord genitalia is relatively similar in size and shape to most humanoid species; however, the Imp Lord penis tends towards a sharper tip with a ribbed shaft that protrudes into spines during climax. The Imp Lord vagina is near identical to those of other species; however, a small ridge that expands during climax to trap any sperm exists for reproductive efficiency.

Mythology

Many tales of Imps have appeared over recorded history, most of these show similar themes of their chaotic nature. Stories often tell of Imps stealing items or working in groups to overpower individuals and take them away. One of the most notable of these stories is a vampiric tale called "The Lord and the Imp" which tells of a Vampire Lord inviting a hooded figure into his home after listening to their tale of woes, only for the hooded figure to allow many Imps into the home. The Imps cause chaos in the Vampire Lords home, then kidnap him to use as their toy. It is likely that the story was used in Sanguina's isolationist period as xenophobic propaganda, though is potentially based on some level of truth due to the similarities with the relationships between Imp Lords and Imps.
