Eclipsis

Eclipsis is a country formed by the fourth incarnation of Wolfii. Eclipsis was formed after Wolfii moved Storm Island into an area of open seas, causing the expansion of the island along with forming a large ring shaped island around it. The capital is Stormburgh and there are four major cities with focus on each of the elements of Matter Manipulation.

Overview

The country of Eclipsis is more civilised and technologically advanced than Midnight, however by the standards of other countries it may be considered somewhat primitive. The capital is situated on a smaller central island within the walls of a castle town that sits in the middle of the Penumbral Lake. On the outer ring island there are four cities that each provide different things to the country.

Cities

Stormburgh
The capital of Eclipsis, Stormburgh is the central point of power in the queendom. The city does not provide any resources as such; however, does provide combat training to many, while handling political matters. Much of Stormburgh uses Duskite in the construction, giving it a darker look with stone buildings. The houses inside the wall are more primitive looking however are still built using a mix of stone and plant matter.
Saltport

The major coastal city in Eclipsis which provides the majority of the countries fishing business along with providing some water filtration services. Exports of fish from this city assist in providing one of the sources of food for the entire country. The architecture is taller and more colourful, using painted stone. The city has a smaller keep which doubles as a lighthouse for incoming ships.

Torchbury
The city of Torchbury provides power to the towns and cities of Eclipsis. It is situated by a natural volcano that Wolfii brought to the surface when she created the island, the city uses the heat from this volcano to generate power. The houses are built using a mix of stone such as marble from different mines around the country, at the centre of the city is a large bath house that draws water from the hot springs deep under the city. The hot springs under the city also provide much of the cities water supply which is dispersed throughout the city via protected channels that run throughout the cities streets, visible from the surface.
Flintstead
Flintstead is a major mining city in Eclipsis, providing building materials such as stone along with important resources such as ore from the mines. The city is carved into the walls of a mountain, using rock-cut architecture to create structures for the residents of the city. The city extends down into the first quarry which is primarily used as a shopping district on the upper levels and cheaper housing on the lower levels. A large temple is carved into the rock nearer to the peak of the mountain, this temple features a statue of Cerberus, being stroked on the left and right head by the two former incarnations of Wolfii, along with carvings of the sun and the moon throughout.
Mistham
A major city in Eclipsis dedicated to farming. This city primarily focuses on making use of Air Matter Manipulation to handle the jobs that exist here, such as efficiently harvesting or planting crops. The architecture here is more simple, using rustic stone walls and thatched rooves. While most cities use cobbled paths, Mistham uses smoothed out stone roads to allow for easier transport of crops within the city. The city is centred around a giant windmill which serves as a communal building with public access to tools to process crops or prepare food.
Flora and Fauna

Flora
Wolf Wheat
A grain modified to grow in Eclipsis by the Buckwood Society of Botanists on behalf of Queen Wolfii, it produces a high yield of large grains. The high yield has resulted in it being one of the most important staple crops for the country, and it has shaped the cuisine significantly.
Lupa Tree
a tree provided to Eclipsis from a mysterious source, it is named after the former Wolvian Deity, Lupa. The tree grows to a significant size and the fruit it bears is harvested for the Lupa Nut, which has become one of the staple foods in the country.
Culture

Cuisine
The cuisine in Eclipsis makes heavy use of seafood and crops grown primarily around Mistham. Wolf Wheat is the primary grain and is often used to produce bread, pasta and a plethora of other foods which form the basis of the Eclipsian diet. Nuts are also common, with the staple nut used in Eclipsian cooking being the Lupa Nut, which has a strong nutty taste, with a spiced edge.
Technology

Weapons

Crossbooms
One of the major weapons used in Eclipsis is the Crossboom. It is based on a railgun designed by Tempest and can either use storm mana or plasma (fire and air) matter manipulation in order to fire high speed metal bolts out. Crossbooms use a custom design based on crossbows which give the benefit of better stabilisation and easier loading.
